Bas Rutten Offers Jens Pulver Good Advice for the Wrong Problem

"Jens Pulver, if he wants to continue his career, I say, move. Move to Brazil for six months, and the only thing you're doing is ground fighting."

That's what Rutten did. Well, except for the Brazil part. "El Guapo" said he trained nothing but grappling for four months and ended up coming back to win several consecutive submission victories.

"You've got to work on the problem that you have, and he's having a submission problem," Rutten said on the broadcast. "If he really wants to continue fighting, you need a solution. ...I'm kind of making a speech right now to Jens Pulver. It worked for me; it can work for you too. Do that. You're 36 years old, it's not too late."
